Miloš Zeman
President of the Czech Republic
At AIPAC’s 2015 conference, the president of the Czech Republic “wowed” a crowd of 16,000 with his unabashed support of Israel – unique among world leaders.
In his strongly worded remarks, President Miloš Zeman warned about the rise of Islamic terrorism around the globe, describing how the Muslim Brotherhood has had a hand in creating almost every Islamic terror group worldwide. He also told the audience that the world must stand with Israel and the worldwide Jewish community.
“The Czech Republic is the best friend of Israel all over Europe,” Zeman said before describing the two-step process to fight the growing wave of Islamic terrorism.
He described the first step as an expression of solidarity: “Now we all must say, ‘I am a Jew,’ ‘Ani Yehudi.’ But this is not enough.” The second step, he said, requires a coordinated response from the international community of nations against the bases of Islamic terrorism.
