JNS.org – A terrorist shot and killed an Israeli father, and wounded his wife and two teenage children, in an attack on Friday on Route 60 in Judea and Samaria.
The attack took place just a day after a Palestinian terrorist murdered a 13-year-old Israeli girl in her bedroom after infiltrating the Jewish community of Kiryat Arba in Samaria.
In the latest attack on Friday, the Israeli family was attacked while driving when the terrorist, who was trailing them in his vehicle, overtook them and fired at least 19 shots at their car. The family vehicle flipped over as the father, who was driving, was shot and killed. The shooter then fled the scene.
Magen David Adom paramedics treated the injured family members on the scene. They tried to resuscitate the father, but were unable to save him. The mother was evacuated to the Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center in serious condition with her children, who are in moderate-to-light condition.
Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces implemented a general closure on the Palestinian city of Hebron on Friday in an effort to curb the surge of attacks against Israelis during the last two days. Israeli soldiers shot a female terrorist who tried to stab them at the Hasam Tzalbanit checkpoint near the Cave of the Patriarchs on Friday, according to Israeli media reports.
