JNS.org – The Democratic National Convention praised Hillary Clinton’s record as secretary of state, highlighting her role in handling Middle East conflicts, prior to choosing Clinton as the first female presidential nominee of a major party.

A five-minute video titled ’67 (since Clinton was the 67th secretary of state) shows explosions in Gaza and then former Israeli President Shimon Peres’ statement, “she understands that peace calls for patience.”

The footage includes scenes of the Israeli-Gaza clashes during Operation Pillar of Defense in 2012 and how Clinton “flew through the night” in order to broker a cease-fire after eight days of fighting. Jake Sullivan, former director of policy planning for the State Department said that “a wider war was averted” because of Clinton.

Several leaders are shown speaking on her behalf including a quote from former Israeli Ambassador to the United States, Michael Oren, “she is very formidable and indefatigable.”

The video, amongst other achievements, also describes how Clinton led the campaign to convince world powers to agree to sanction Iran to stop its nuclear program.
