A group of Palestinians paid a condolence call on Tuesday to the family of Ori Ansbacher — the 19-year-old Israeli woman who was killed by a terrorist in a forest on the southern outskirts of Jerusalem last week.
Ansbacher was from the West Bank community of Tekoa, where dozens of members of the Tag Meir coexistence NGO arrived on Tuesday. The delegation included Palestinians from Ramallah, Jericho, Husan and Wadi Fukin.
One of the Palestinians — a Muslim sheikh — was quoted by Tag Meir as saying, “I, and many other Palestinians, are saddened by this murder, and oppose it. This type of behavior is not acceptable to us, it is against both the law and our religion. We need to promote dialogue.”
The visitors were received warmly by Ansbacher’s parents, Gadi and Noa.
