At last night’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner comedian and talk-show host Jimmy Kimmel included Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in his roster of cracks.
After a joke about reality TV stars, the Kardashian family, Kimmel quipped, “I have a question, who are these people who think it would be a good idea to attack Iran? I hear people say, bomb ’em nuke ’em, just do it now. They’re a real bunch of yahoos, and Netanyahus.”
“There is only one way to have peace between the Israelis and the Arabs” he continued, “Instead of focusing on their differences, they should focus on what they have in common, which is a mutual love of falafel and terrible dance music.”
The annual event, attended by media personalities, prominent politicians, and America’s most famous celebrities, features a routine by a famous comedian, and an often self deprecating roast by the sitting President. This year, President Obama mocked his recent hot-mike embarrassment, having eaten dog meat during his childhood, the physical impact that the stresses of the Presidency were having on him, and Hillary Clinton.
You can watch Kimmel’s comments in the video below at minute 23:25.
