The U.S. delegation at the United Nations remained seated for a speech delivered by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at a UN session today, according to Fox News, during which the Iranian President, defended holocaust denial by criticizing those who “infringe upon other’s freedom and allow sacrilege to people’s beliefs and sanctities, while they criticize posing questions or investigating into historical issues,” according to Breitbart.
Israel’s envoy Ron Prosor led his country’s representatives out of the session in protest, telling reporters “There is no justice and no judge,” according to the Jerusalem Post. “The leader of an outlaw country that is a serial violator of the fundamental principles of the rule of law has no place in this hall” he said. “It is a shame and disgrace to give someone like him the opportunity to speak on such an important topic.”
The tyrant also hinted to his views on the legitimacy of Israel’s unconfirmed nuclear arsenal, saying, “Some members of the Security Council with veto rights have chosen silence with regard to the nuclear warheads of a fake regime, while at the same time [impeding]…the scientific progress of other nations.”
In the past, the U.S. delegation has walked out in protest of Ahmadinejad’s speeches when they were given before the General Assembly. Notably last year, when the anti-Semite presented conspiracy theories pertaining to the September 11th 2001 World Trade Center terror attacks on the United States.
