Rihanna's necklace spells the word 'Ahava' love.
Rihanna has found love. Well, not really— at least not that we know of. But the pop superstar was recently snapped arriving at a recording session wearing a gold chain made by New York Jewelers Rafello & co with the Hebrew word “Ahava,” which means “love,” sitting front and center. It seems this isn’t the first time she’s worn it, however. A quick glance at the album cover for her soon-to-be released Apologetic, also spotlights it. But alas, it seems Rihanna must be more smitten with the aesthetic beauty of the language than its religious subtext: she also has a crucifix affixed to the very same gold chain.
In recent years several celebrities have taken to the physical appeal of Hebrew letters among them David Beckham (whose grandfather was Jewish) and wife Victoria who have matching tattoos that read, “I am to my beloved, my beloved is mine,” taken from The Song of Solomon.
