A Paris hotel famous for being occupied by Nazis during the war and, later, for acting as a welcome centre for concentration camp survivors has been bought by an Israeli hotelier for an undisclosed figure. Alrov Group acquired the Lutetia hotel from the Louvre Group, Europe’s second largest hotel owner. The French newspaper Figaro in May reported plans to turn the building into a luxury hotel on Paris’ fashionable Rive Gauche, or Left Bank. Alrov also owns the David Citadel and the Mamilla Hotel in Jerusalem.
