WSJ – NEW YORK—President Barack Obama appealed to a United Nations General Assembly packed with supporters of Palestinian statehood to hold off U.N. recognition until the Palestinians and Israelis can work out a peace deal on their own.
“There is no short cut to the end of a conflict that has endured for decades,” Mr. Obama told the world body. “Peace is hard work. Peace will not come through statements and resolutions at the United Nations.”
