  • The Phrase Palestinian Territories is misleading for a number of reasons.
One: There is no Palestinian people, not has one ever been. its a fabrication designed by soviet propagandists to counter Zionism. Farouq Qadummi, a PLO official said as much, as did other Arab statesmen.
Second: How did territories annexed by Jordan for 19 become Palestinian as soon as Israel assumed control? Isnt that somewhat racist?
Third: Arabs living in Israel prior to 1967 also claim the Palestinian mantle, but only since the Oslo accords. Isnt that irridentism?
So Ban Ki Moon is coming to the Land of Israel, now artificially divided between full jewish rule, and Jewish security rule, but all under the jurisdiction of Jewish courts. So how are they Palestinian?
Possibly the Palestinian part of the visit is to hamastan, the Gaza enclave between Egypt and Israel. That might be called Palestinian since the 1964 formation of the PLO in Gaza. However, as I recall, the PLO claims all of the Land of Israel to be Palestinian, so where exactly is Ban Ki Moon going to visit? Israel or Palestine? They are one and the same?
Let him have a pleasant trip. At American expense.
