President Obama Will Appoint New World Bank Chief

Politico – President Obama will have a major slot to fill at the World Bank this summer, with the institution’s current president Robert Zoellick announcing Wednesday that he’s stepping down on June 30th at the end of his five-year term.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Larry Summers, former Treasury Secretary and ex-Obama economic adviser, have been floated as candidates for the post, according to a recent Bloomberg report. The job does not require Senate confirmation.
