Arthur Jones is running for the Republican nomination in Illinois’s 3rd Congressional District, which includes Chicago’s South Side, to take on the Democratic incumbent, Congressman Dan Lipinski.

As it turns out, Jones believes the Holocaust was invented for monetary purposes by the Jews.

“As far as I’m concerned, the Holocaust is nothing more than an international extortion racket by the Jews,” Jones said. “It’s the blackest lie in history. Millions of dollars are being made by Jews telling this tale of woe and misfortune in books, movies, plays and TV.

Patch first reported on this story.

This is Jones’ third congressional run, following two unsuccessful attempts in which he spent his retirement savings trying to get into office.  In 1978, he took part in a Nazi march in Chicago as a member of the National Socialist Party, according to Patch.

“These war-mongering fools in congress like Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney – we can’t let Iran have one nuclear weapon but we let Israel have all the nuclear weapons they want. This is ridiculous,” Jones Said.
