Olympic Mascot Bamba Baby Axed for London 2012

Haaretz – The Olympic Committee of Israel reversed its decision to make the “Bamba baby” the official mascot for the 2012 Olympic team, following public outcry over the decision in recent days.

Osem, the maker of Bamba, the popular peanut-based snack said: “A month ago, the Olympic Committee of Israel contacted Osem with an offer for a promotion that would make the Bamba baby the mascot of the Israeli team for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.”
