Ynet – Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commented on the gas price hike on Sunday. “We can’t control the global oil rates but we can try and alleviate the public’s hardship in a responsible manner,” he said at the weekly cabinet meeting. “We need the taxes to buy more Iron Domes.”
Netanyahu stressed that “tax in Israel is lower than most European countries.” He added that anyone who says that taxes can but reduced and expenses increased at the deficit’s expense “lacks responsibility and financial knowledge.”
