2 Dead at Turkey, Syria Border as Ankara Nullifies UN Agreement

Reuters/JPost – Ankara declared void an April 10 deadline for Syria to pull back its troops after two people were killed and 15 wounded by gunfire coming from Syria across the border into Turkey on Monday, Turkey’s official Anadolu news agency reported.

Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Naci Koru said that in place of the pullback under the terms of a UN peace plan, a “new period” would begin Tuesday.
