The Algemeiner was recently cast alongside The Guardian, The Independent, Forbes, Le Monde and The Australian to appear in a promotional TV advertisement for the new Russia Today talk show hosted by whistle-blower Julian Assange of Wikileaks fame.
The 23 second promo clip entitled, “Warning: Assange! Controversy! Watching May Cause Thought Attack,” features snapshots of bold headlines that were critical of the show which welcomed arch terrorist and Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah as its first guest.
The Algemeiner’s article published on April 18th, entitled, “The Hypocrisy of Assange’s Interview with Hezbollah Leader,” was written by Staff Writer Lakkana Nanayakkara and referred to the apparent hypocrisy of Assange, “described by RT as “the world’s most famous whistleblower”, working for a regime that kills and imprisons journalists, human rights activists and Vladimir Putin’s political opponents.”
Russia Today claims to have “a global reach of over 430 million people,” and the number of views on the station’s YouTube channel has exceeded 700 million.
