Montreal Gazette – World powers are racing against time to prevent all-out civil war in Syria, UN leader Ban Ki-moon warned, as a watchdog on Tuesday reported more killings of civilians by Syrian security forces.
Speaking ahead of a key United Nations Security Council meeting on Syria on Tuesday, Ban again condemned the “brutality” of President Bashar al-Assad’s forces but said attacks by opposition groups have also “escalated.”
