The Palestinian Return Centre will host a meeting inside England’s House of Commons later this month, to mark International Refugee Day.

The PRC, which hosted Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh at their annual conference in 2009, notes on its website that the British members of parliament planning to attend the June 18 meeting, “visit Palestine regularly” and will be joined by members from the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees.

Sir Gerald Kaufman, Andy Slaughter, Jeremy Corbyn and Andy Love will be in attendance, while Ian Murray, who will not attend due to a scheduling conflict, helped secure space for the group inside the House of Commons

“Palestinians all over the world are facing many difficult challenges all over the world, In Israel, Gaza, Jerusalem, Iraq, Lebanon, Jerusalem, Libya and Brazil,” reads a message from the PRC. “This event will highlight them.”

The British government does not officially engage with Hamas as the European Union classifies the group as a terrorist organization.
