Residents of Hebron-area Israeli towns say they are suffering increasing attacks from Palestinians since Israel began opening West Bank highways to Arabs living under Palestinian Authority (PA) control.
On July 12, Jewish residents of the town of Negohot blocked roads in a protest.
“We suffer from nails on the highway, they throw rocks and firebombs at our cars,” Asaf Fried, who lives in Negohot, told Israel National News.
Until three years ago, Israel did not allow residents of PA territories to access roads in the area as a precaution against terror. Instead, those residents traveled along parallel PA roads.
