NY Times – The center of Aleppo, Syria’s sprawling commercial capital, braced for a major confrontation brewing between the government and insurgents on Wednesday, with hundreds of fighters from both sides streaming into the city and taking up positions in or around half a dozen neighborhoods where the rebels have dominated for days.
Government soldiers transported via trucks and buses deployed around the historic 13th Century citadel, and thousands more were en route, according to rebel fighters and activists.
