Israeli Swimmer Sets National Record at Olympics

Times of Israel – Swimmer Amit Ivri advanced to the semifinals and improved the Israeli record by half a second in the 200 meter medley on Monday morning, while judoka Soso Palelashvili was eliminated from Olympic competition at the third round. Earlier sharpshooter Sergy Rikhter missed a berth in the finals by a mere one point.

Ivri swam the 200 meter individual medley and advanced to the semifinals. She had a strong performance, possibly the best by an Israeli swimmer so far, improving the Israeli record by half a second with a result of 2:13.29 minutes.
