David Cameron Pledges to Hold Referendum on EU Membership in UK

Telegraph – The Prime Minister will warn that democratic consent for the EU is currently “wafer thin” and that “it is time for the British people to have their say”.

The pledge to hold a referendum if the Conservatives win the next election will be made in Mr Cameron’s long-awaited speech on Europe, which is finally due to be delivered this morning.
