A Jewish Democratic Congressman caught tweeting a young blonde during the State of the Union address given by U.S. President Barack Obama Tuesday had to own up to the fact that it was his daughter.

Steve Cohen, a married Congressman, initially said that the woman was a family friend but ultimately came clean. He found out about the girl , Ashley Brink, only three years ago while doing a Google search of her mother, a former flame, and learned that she had a daughter.

He contacted her after realizing that the “math looked pretty accurate.”

US Jewish Groups Praise Tillerson’s Renewal of State Department Antisemitism Envoy

US Jewish groups reacted with praise and relief on Tuesday to the news that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is...

‘The mom told me we had a lot of catching up to do, he told NBC’s Luke Russert, adding that she told him, “Every time I look at her I see the German Jew in her face.”

Cohen responded: “I’m Lithuanian- close enough.”

Cohen’s heritage is a proud point for him, as he is the first Jewish congressman from Tennessee.

“When she let me know she was watching the State of the Union address I was thrilled that she wanted Steve Cohen to be part of her. I had such joy, that I couldn’t hold back from tweeting her,” he told NBC.

  • I don’t know where you get your information , but your comment that Cohen is married is totally incorrect.

I live in his Congressional District and he is known to be a bachelor.

As Casey Stengel was wont to say,….” and you can look it up “.

  • He has no shame. Case closed.

I don’t understand the point of this story. A congressman with an inappropriately wandering mind and eye is hardly unique. The world is one big glass house and keeping dalliances secret in this digital world gets harder and harder and should stand as a warning if violation of marital trust is not strong enough.
