Ahead of the Passover holiday Israel’s counter terrorism bureau has issued a warning that Israelis should not enter the Sinai Peninsula. According to the advisory, there is a risk of terror attacks or kidnapping attempts against Israelis. In addition, Israelis vacationing in the Peninsula were asked to return to Israel as quickly as possible.
Advisories were also issued for Algeria, Tunisia, Malaysia and Indonesia. In addition, there are six countries to which Israelis are forbidden from traveling: Syria, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen and Saudi Arabia. High level advisories were also issued regarding travel to Somalia, Sudan and Afghanistan.
