Sometimes history marches on without acknowledgement.
Who heard of schinldler before the movie..How many heroes of the Holocaust passed on…uncited unknown.
Lately we ahve been hearing about heroes –some over 100 years old..Why the Jewish silence? Is a thank you so very hard.
During the cold war we heard of Denmark saving its 6 to 7,000 Jews by ferrying them the short distance to Sweden. But Denmark was West…NATO..a friend..Denmarkwas lauded
Bulgaria surrounded by Germany partially.. occupied saved perhaps 70,000 Jews but it was East a satellite of the USSR…there was Western silence..Jewish Silence.
The Bulgarian King,Bulgarian Parliament, the Bulgarian Orthodox Church stood up for the Jewish citizens of Bulgaria..Jews were sheltered in city and farm ..silence.
Now the Jewish state wants Bulgarian assistance ..what thank you can it expect…maybe in 50 years.
