Qatar’s Prince Khalifa Al-Thani, a member of the royal family of Qatar, is expected to visit Israel this November, Israeli website Calcalist reports. His visit would mark the first time a member of the Qatari royal family officially visited the country.

Al-Thani’s visit will revolve around the launch of the Israel-Palestine Commercial Arbitration Center, a venture led by the President of the International Chamber of Commerce, Oren Shachor, and Palestinian Arab businessman Munib al-Masri, which is meant to solve disputes between Israeli and Palestinian businesses for amounts of up to seven million shekels.

The visit was set during a meeting last weekend between Al-Thani and Shachor to promote commercial relations between the two countries.

According to the Calcalist, the Qatari government is interested in strengthening its local high-tech sector by acquiring knowledge and technology and by encouraging the Israeli high-tech companies to export jobs and development projects to Qatar, rather than to India or Eastern Europe.

About ten years after the defeat of nazi Germany the re-mergent Germany joined NATO..it joined the nations it had only recently defeated, occupied and brutalized..two years later Germany joined the Common Market.
America’s longest war was in Indochina..we lost our people in Vietnam,Laos and Cambodia…all in an effort to prevent a “domino effect” in Southeast Asia..well we didn’t win that war…nor was there a “domino effect”.. The American people learned,as most scholars already knew, the Indochinese were historic bitter mortal enemies-as now being played outon the waters of the South China Seas..and as seen the previous border skirmishes.
Eventually Israel will have to have many ties with the nations in its neighborhood…despite history and animosities.
