Over the past three months, some 200 firebombs and 80 explosive devices have been thrown at worshippers and Israeli soldiers at Rachel’s Tomb on the outskirts of Bethlehem in the West Bank.

The figures were provided by senior Israel Defense Forces and Border Police officers on Monday during a meeting of the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, Israel Hayom reported. The committee gathered to discuss the security threats facing worshippers at the tomb.

Committee Chairman MK Avigdor Lieberman instructed the army to examine options to assure the safety of the worshippers and present the plans to the committee in one month.

Question: Since Rachel is revered by Moslems as well as Jews what is the Moslem access to the tomb??
When the Ottomans were the custodians was access was open to both groups.

That should say the Ottomans allowed acess to both…Montefiore worked with the cbuild the Jewish chamber next to the domed Moslem structure the Ottomans had previously built.
It has been been the Jewish extremist xenophobes that barred Moslems from the site. Since the firebombings have been against the outer perimenter BARRIER wall..
it opens the question as to who is actually doing what…Jewish extremists are probably not without reproach..especially after learning about some tactics of “containment” being taught.
