While the U.S. continues its attempts to restart Israel-Palestinian peace talks and Israel expresses the willingness to participate in those talks, the Palestinian Authority media is disavowing concepts such as “truces” and “compromise,” Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) reported.

According to PMW, on May 10 Palestinian Authority TV broadcasted a video with statements such as “Let all religions know that I do not make truces” and “Let every person know that I do not compromise” appearing on the screen. The statement “Let Jaffa know that I will return to it” also appeared in the video, representing a Palestinian declaration of the intent to take control of an Israeli city.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry on Thursday met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas as part of his fourth trip to Israel over the past four months. Before meeting with Kerry Netanyahu said of peace talks, “It’s something I hope the Palestinians want as well and we ought to be successful for a simple reason—when there’s a will, we’ll find a way.”

The Palestinians refusal to compromise could lead to their eventual destruction.

  • The most important leader for a durable peace is absent as always… the King Of Jordan! He rules over 4/5th of the former Turkish province of Palestine and what is sad, the Palestinians who make up nearly 80% of his country’s population cannot be Jordanians!
If you took all the money, all the lives wasted during all the Israeli-Arab wars since 1948 you would have had enough money to indemnify every Arab family. It can still be done using world contributions (USA, EU, the Oil rich Arab countries) and allow the West Bank to become once again Judea and Samaria. Israel cannot be any smaller. It is already non-existent on a world map! Israel too has shown that it can be tolerant of other religions. An important point which no Arab country can emulate!

This is a wonderful opportunity for Israel to propagandize this Arab comment and do so strongly as yet another crystal clear evidence that the Palestinians are not ever going to make peace with Israel or negotiate a settlement. The latter by definition requires compromise.
