Jerusalem Post – The EU’s “obsessive” focus on settlements is undermining efforts to re-start negotiations by giving the Palestinians the impression that no matter what they do, European diplomatic fire will always be aimed at Israel, EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton will be told when she arrives in Israel on Thursday.
Ashton is scheduled to come to Israel as part of a regional tour that will also take her to Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt and the Palestinian Authority. She is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Justice Minister Tzipi Livni, in charge of negotiations with the Palestinians, during her stay in Jerusalem.
