JPost – Finance Minister Yair Lapid (Yesh Atid) came out in support of a two-state solution, while his coalition partner Economy and Trade Minister Naftali Bennett (Bayit Yehudi) rejected it completely and urged for “coexistence” between Israelis and Palestinians, in interviews they gave separately to the Washington Post this week.

I take Bennett’s point of view, Arab Israeli’s would have better standard of living under the one State solution. There would be more security. If one takes the current situation with Syria, a United Israel would be committed to their country and country and security, terrorism can be controlled. Building programs under Israel take on board all levels of the population. The Arab businessman building a large complex appears to be building luxury accommodation rather than for the lower end of the scale. So who will buy these luxury apartment complexes, it won’t be the indigenous Arab Israeli population but Arabs from outside who may well be problematic. Two state isn’t a brilliant tactic, this has proved to be the case over and over. There is no quick fix but long and arduous negotiation and building on the younger generation without an axe to grind. How can Israel live along side a state that indoctrinates children in infant school to hate Judaism? Some one is not paying attention? There are many young children from a % of the Arab population already being taught terrorist tactics!
