The President of Dagestan, Russia, Magomesdsalam Megomdov, told Chabad Military Chaplain Rabbi Ahron Gurevitch on Friday that yesterday’s shooting of Chabad Rabbi Ovadia Isakkov was “performed by a member of one of the most extreme Islamic terrorist groups in the Chechnya-Caucasus area,” JFC, Chabad’s Russian arm, reported online.

Chabad said that President Megomdov “promised to do everything possible to capture the terrorist and ensure the continuation of Jewish life in the district.”

After the shooting, Rabbi Isakkov was flown to Israel in a private plane sponsored by Lev Leviev, the billionaire diamond mogul, investor and president of the JFC. The rabbi is now in “stable, but critical” condition in the Beilinson hospital in Petach Tikva, Israel.

Late yesterday, Russian Chief Rabbi Berel Lazar said in statement to Russia’s Interfax news agency: “There is not and can be no compromise with terrorists: the state is not only entitled to but also obliged to use all means available against them.”

Mother of Islamist Gunman Mohammed Merah, Who Murdered Rabbi and 3 Children in French Jewish School Attack, Causes Outrage at Ongoing Terror Trial

Chaotic scenes broke out on Wednesday at the trial in France of the brother of an Islamist extremist who carried...

He said the attack was “far from being the first” incident of this kind, in which terrorists choose religious figures as targets, adding that “several well-known muftis in the Caucasus, who professed moderate Islam and who called for inter-ethnic and inter-religious peace, have died at the hands of such thugs.”

Extremists “have put themselves not only outside of any religion but also apart from humankind; their only goal is to kill innocent people, chiefly those who promote eternal values, morals and spirituality, in this world,” he said.

Rabbi Lazar urged law enforcement agencies not only to find and punish those who planned and committed this attack but also to “take all legitimate actions to eliminate the jihadist underworld.”

“The attack on the rabbi, as well as the previous attacks on Muslim figures, have pursued the goal of destabilizing all of society and undermining the noble pillars upon which our country’s unity has been built for centuries,” he said.

WAS THIS TERRORIST GROUP THE SAME ONE THE BOSTON BOMBERS AND THEIR FAMILY BELONGS TO?

…as I saying before my computer got over-excited: the ONE thing Israel’s enemies will NEVER HAVE is the intelligence to select a weaker country to pick on.

They have no idea what Israel’s weaponry has in store for them…and it’ll be too late for them, by the time the enemies find out what s waiting for them.

Then you will hear the cry-babies, caught waiting with their panties down around their ankles.

Alas, too late. You coulda/ shoulda learned by now.

I wonder if th solution to these attacks is to change the punishment: such attacks involve not only the person who is attacked, but every members of this family, as well.

Terrorist have but one fear: anyone who fights back. What thy like about us Jews is that terrorists think that Jews DON’T fight back.

In World War II Jews learned about fighting back or lying down and being murdered because we didn’t even try to fIght back. But we have learned Egyptians, Iranians, and anyone else who would like to get away with murder, have met their match. The Israeli government and its people are sick and tired of war, but with no alternative, they fight back to the extent that Israel’s enemies have bitterly learnd what to expect from the IDF. A lot of countries would love to push Israel into the sea, but they know better than to mess around with Israel – the cost is just too high and the risks become greater with every passing day.

They all have their guns trained on Israel. Better they should train themselves to learn to live in peace.

They already know not to f— around with Israel’s fighters. Israel is not sitting there like a lily, They are entirely ready for the worst.

Their enemies have more troops, plenty of guns and ammunition.

Unfortunately for them, the one thing they need the most is what they will NEVER HAVE:

  • Attempted murder is never justified!
