Despite repeated attempts to disrupt business by protesters advocating anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions, or BDS,  an Israeli-owned EcoStream store, in Brighton, England, reported its best week of sales last week, Sussex Friends of Israel reported on its website.

The constant threat by BDS has elicited a strong response from local supporters of Israel. In counterpoint to the protests, many pro-Israel activists have begun to host their own parties in proximity to the store in an effort to mitigate harm caused by BDS protests. This past weekend, for instance, EcoStream supporters held a “Bagels Against Bigotry” event with participants offering cakes and bagels for passers-by to enjoy as they visited EcoStream ahead of a planned BDS demonstration.

The shop has repeatedly been the backdrop to anti-Israel demonstrations since it opened in the sea-side town 13 months ago; but BDS efforts have had little effect. In keeping with the current trend of record sales, in August the store, which caters to sustainable and eco-conscious lifestyles, reported sales  had hit an all-time high.

I am one of the counter protesters in Brighton, I and several others are part of the Christian community, and have been on the streets in Brighton outside Ecostream since the BDS and PSC first made their appearance felt.

We support our local Jewish community 100% and have been embraced as friends. We are often presumed to be Jewish by some passer-bys, and have to shoulder numerous anti-Semitic comments…some find out we are Christians, and we then have to accomodate anti-Christian invective.

Some of the hardest stuff to stomach in conversations with the public are both those Christians who hate Israel and display a thinly disguised type of Christian anti-Semitism, and the Jews who have swallowed the persuasive and revisionist histories supporting the pro-Palestinian narrative.

One thing is for sure, all of us are totally committed to one another, share the same vision and will no longer sit idly by while the BDS, PSC and other anti-Israel hate groups freely spread their poison on our streets.

What is it about Brighton? It’s also home to the anti-Israel activist who objected to having an Israeli water meter in his home. Good thing the water company forced the man, Edmond O’Reilly, to pay up. BTW, O’Reilly is a therapist who claims you can consult him about “problems that have arisen in your life. By building a relationship based on respect, acceptance, trust and empathy with a counsellor it becomes possible to understand how and where your difficulties have arisen.” How about a problem with your anti-Semitic nonsense, sir?

Feel free to contact O’Reilly about his issues at:, where his home address (where his office is located) and phone number are included.

One more example of age-old anti-Semitism fails as the near-by world of non-Jews rallies to support the Jews who are under discrimination.

This Jew in Florida, USA sends his thanks and admiration to those who went out of their way to show support and protection at a time of need.

There will always be those who hate Jews. It must be a problem for those who love Jesus and then find that He, too, was born a Jew, lived as a Jew, and died a Jew. A revolutionary in his time, Jesus knew what He was doing. He was one of the early Jewish intellects who have shaped world history. There have been many since then, and they’re still coming..

To those who love Jesus and hate Jews: go and see your psychiatrist to discuss your problem. Many psychiatrist re Jewish, So be careful whut ya say…..
