A handwritten Haggadah from 1726 has been discovered in Great Britain, garnering the interest of Jewish communities from across the globe, reports the BBC.
The Haggadah, with beautiful script and used to recount the story of Passover, was discovered in a cardboard box in a garage in Bury. It belonged to a family that had been fragmented during the Second World War and had lost track of the heirloom.
The estimated value of the Haggadah is between £100,000 and £500,000, but its financial potential won’t be fully realized until November, when it goes to auction.
