Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asserted Sunday that despite appearances, Israel is not alone in its insistence that Iran be prevented by the West from maintaining the ability to build nuclear weapons.

“There are those who say so fully and there are those who whisper and there are those who say so privately. But everyone understands that Iran cannot be allowed to retrain the ability to be within reach of nuclear weapons,” Netanyahu said, according to a cabinet communique. “This was the focus of the long and detailed talks that I held with John Kerry,” he added.

Netanyahu’s remarks came as Iran and six world powers, known as the the P5+1, are engaged in negotiations over the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program. So far, while other countries have expressed opposition to Iran building a nuclear weapon, Israel has strongly opposed allowing Iran to retain the capability to do so.

“I have been asked if I am concerned about standing alone in an isolated position against the world. First of all, the answer is no. This is vital and important for the security of Israel and, in my view, the peace of the world. Then certainly we are willing to stand alone in the face of world opinion or changing fashion. But in fact we are not alone because most, if not all, leaders, those with whom I have spoken, agree with us,” the Israeli prime minister said.

    Bibi is DELUDED!
Most countries do BUSINESS with Iran and in some form or another boycott Israel.
    It’s 1938 all over again.

  • E Pluribus Beagle

Maybe so but all of them are cowards too. They will always look down at their shoes when the Iranian nukes go off. They can’t be counted on.

There’s a simple spelling error in the comments by Mr. Luigi Rosolin, that should be noted: There is a word, mispelled, that diffuses the essence of his remarks. The word used is “treat” spelled t-r-e-a-t. He means to use the word THREAT. READING IT THAT WAY MAKES A LOT OF SENSE. No matter how you spell it, Iran AIN’T no “TREAT”!!!

Theocratic mullahs ruling modern Iran by sharia law,

whether Persian or Arab, are never horses nor pussycats.

Hopes for Persian democracy ended 1979 when an Islamic

    theocrat-led coup overthrew the 1925-1941-1979 pro-West

‘Peacock Throne’ of Riza Shah when his son Muhammad Riza

Pahlevi, the shah of Iran went to the United States for

    medical treatment.

Islamization of the entire world is mushrooming, as the

West ignorantly furnishes modern weapons to a Stone Age

Muslim-Jihadist mindset (still living in the Stone Age)

impatiently-waiting to conquer the weak-minded West.

Are mullahs deceiving us? Is Obama? Do fish swim?

Do birds fly? Is the Pope Catholic? Are rabbis Jewish?

  • Wulfrano Ruiz Sainz

Don’t be fooled. Bibi is itching to start WW3.

Thank you for enlightening us all, Muhammad!

The matter boils down to a very simple question: Can Iran be trusted to use its ability to use nuclear abilities only for defense of its own country or for peaceful uses? Anyone ovethe age of six knows that the answer to such question is NO in capital letters.

The very existence of this question on the world stage proves its necessity. Iran is a dictatorship, ruled by fanatics who have already PROVEN THEMSELVES UNTRUSTWORTHY. Talk is cheap around a conference table, where everyone wears suits and ties and appears respectable. But Iran’s leaders are liars who make statements with a smile and a handshake, and everyone knows full well that it is only a matter of time- and not a lot of that – before Iran makes an offensive move. Israel is nearby, and Iran’s leaders vehemently hate the Jewish nation.

What the leaders of Iran pretend not to know is: Iran is watched, day and night. Iran is spied upon by at least six different countries. If Iran makes a nuclear weapon the world will know it, but the world will not tell it. The alarm that currently exists did not arise from mere supposition. It has arisen from firm information and knowledge gained internally. It’s this basic: if Iran builds a nuclear weapon, they will attempt to use it: first against Israel, and following that, against the United States, which Iran hates as vociferously as it does Israel. Iran’s “leaders” and “politicians” (a painful joke…pure fiction on the level of Aesop’s Fables), CANNOT BE TRUSTED. THE WORLD BELIEVED PRIME MINISTER NEVILLE CHAMBERLAIN WHEN HE RETURNED TO ENGLAND AFTER A MEETING WITH GERMAN LEADER, ADOLF HITLER. Chamberlain reported there would be “Peace in our time”: which became the cynical phrase repeated ad infinitum to this very day. It was a blatant lie, pure and simple, and Hitler plunged the world into World War II shortly after that meeting took place. The entire world was UNPREPARED.

WE MUST NOT FOOLISHLY, NAIVELY MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE TWICE. Millions of people died because of that foolish, unbelievable lie that was accepted at face value.

GERMANY WILL NEVER LIVE DOWN THE REPUTATION THAT IT GAINED FROM WORLD WAR TWO. WE KNOW NOT BE TRUST THEM, FROM TRAGIC EXPERIENCE. ARE WE TO MAKE THE VERY SAME MISTAKE AGAIN, WITH IRAN????????? How many American sons and daughters in our military forces have to die because our own political “leaders” who profess to have the well-being of the United States at heart, are nevertheless naively – STUPIDLY, PUTTING THEIR TRUST in the leaders of Iran? THE VERY FACETTHAT THEY ARE ALREADY NOT TRUSTED IS EVIDENCE THAT THAT WHOLE WORLD KNOWS PERFECTLY WELL, BASED UPON INCONTROVERTIBLE EVIDENCE, THAT IRAN WANTS WAR, IRAN CANNOT BE TRUSTED WITH NUCLEAR WEAPONS, AND IRAN MUST EITHER BACK DOWN NOW, NOT LATER, OR HAVE IT WEAPONS FORCEFULLY TAKEN AND REMOVED FROM THAT COUNTRY.

    Next question, please.

    • Luigi Rosolin

Well saying: Israel and country like Russia, France, Great Britain, India, Israel that had the nuclear weapons are accepted that will use only for self defense.USA that had used in war two with Pakistan e North Korea partially are at different level a treat. North Korea belligerent intention with China support for the regime is quite high one.
My point: is Israel had never officially admitted and more important never had treat to use nuclear capacity for attack: even under war time defending for survival from preponderant- numerous army had resort to use the nuclear capacity.
Very opposite position of Iran regime and propaganda; in many occasions treats had been made to Israel and other countries.
Iran regime is supporting unashamedly many Islamic extremist group that are regards as terrorist as they only scope is to impose Islam by force. Parallel with Hitler is well truly realty.
They should and very quickly unconditionally remove the treat or face immediate consequence. I very deeply consent for all Iranian citizens that are abuse by a religion-leadership that is evil directed. The repression of the courageous Iranian that had stand against such human right abuse must be respect. Iran population is experiencing similar abuse that happened with Italian fascist era.
