eBay Apologizes for Listing Nazi Relics for Auction

NY Daily News – Holocaust survivors were horrified that ghoulish death camp relics were being hawked on eBay.

“It’s outrageous,” said Hillel Himmel, 86, who suffered for months in the Budzyn concentration camp in Poland in 1942. “To make money out of things like this is terrible.”

On Sunday, the shamed website apologized and took down 30 items of offensive memorabilia and also donated $40,000 to a suitable charity. “We are very sorry these items have been listed on eBay and we are removing them,” the company said.
