Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pointed out on Monday that while world powers negotiate with Iran in Geneva over its nuclear capabilities, the regime’s supporters in Tehran are marching to commemorate the 1979 takeover of the U.S. embassy.

“America and the P5+1 should listen to the chants of ‘Death to America’ in Tehran and give no discounts to Tehran,” Netanyahu said at a formal reception honoring the visit of Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski.

“There’s a debate in the West today,” Netanyahu told the Polish leader. “People are saying: What is the true face of the Iranian regime?” he asked rhetorically.

“While we are meeting, that regime, which is controlled by [Ayatollah] Khamenei, has tens of thousands of people on the streets of Tehran today chanting ‘Death to America,’ celebrating the seizure of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, 34 years ago.”

“Khamenei, who is the real ruler of Iran, yesterday said: ‘America is the most hated country in the world.’ You can’t believe a word of what they say. And he fuels that hatred. That’s the real Iran. Do we want this country to have nuclear weapons? The answer is: absolutely not,” he concluded.
