On a roadshow in New York City, Israeli Economy Minister Naftali Bennett told a packed boardroom of investors about the advantages of putting their capital to work in “The Lighthouse State.”
In a post on Facebook, Bennett said, “I just finished a meeting with top investors in New York. I described the great opportunity of investing in Israel, and the response was tremendous enthusiasm.”
Bennett said his presentation included some of the many opportunities in Israel open to foreign direct investment.
“Water technologies, agriculture, cyber security, medicine and more,” he said. “We discussed topics from developing the Negev to including Haredim in the workforce, Israeli Brain Technologies, 8200, Netafim, Waze, TakaDu, water desalination and natural gas.”
His pitch focused on the technological growth of the Jewish state, and its unique position as “a lighthouse in a storm” of the broader Middle East.
“I call Israel a lighthouse in a storm. There is a regional Arab storm that will last for years, but Israel is strong and radiates light. This is the true story of Israel. Not discussing the conflict all day, instead, projecting light like a lighthouse and doing good around the world,” he said.
