Ynet – The Israel Tax Authority has decided to get a head start on the Knesset and go ahead and grant same-sex couples the same benefits heterosexual couples enjoy.

The issue has galvanized coalition tensions pitting liberal-centrist Yesh Atid against their religious-rightwing coalition partners Habayit Hayehudi .
