Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday is in good health after a small polyp was removed from his large intestine after a routine gastro examination on Wednesday at Shaare Zedek Medical Center, in Jerusalem, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office.
The examination was carried out by Gastroenterology Department Head Prof. Eran Goldin, while Netanyahu’s personal physician, Dr. Zvi Herman Berkowitz, said that comprehensive lab tests – including cholesterol, fats and sugar tests – showed him to be completely healthy.
The prime minister’s blood pressure was 120/80; he maintains a healthy lifestyle and proper diet, works out several times a week and recently underwent a stress test that showed him to be in the top ten percentile for his age group.
