As Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif was in Vienna on Wednesday working to normalize the Islamic Republic’s relations with world powers,  Ali Larijani, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, railed against Israel, calling the Jewish State a “malign tumor,” according to semi-official Iranian state news agency Mehr.

Speaking on the sidelines of a Tehran meeting of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation Inter-Parliamentary Union, Larijani said that Iran had close ties with Israel under the Shah’s regime, before 1979, but, after the Islamic Revolution, the relationship was ended in favor of deeper relations with Muslim countries.

Today, he said, “The West is working to save the Zionist regime as a malign tumor, while the regime has been weaker than ever now.”

“He believed the confrontation between Israel and Palestine was not a bilateral conflict, but it was a confrontation between the Zionist regime and the world of Islam,” Mehr reported, citing Larijani as saying, “Israel takes the benefits of silence by the Muslim countries and I warn on this.”

He also proposed that a meeting of Iran’s special committee for Palestinians be held under the auspices of the “Palestine Authority,” since “it would provide courage to people inside.”

The news agency quoted Salah al-Zewawi, the PA’s ambassador to Iran, as saying about Israel, “The Zionist regime is doomed and we need Syria to continue our battle.”

Speaker Larijani is a fool – and an ignorant one at that. While he may call the Jewish State “weaker than ever,” the Iranian government lusts after have the Israeli nuclear arsenal. This capability,as well as the powerful IDF, causes the bloodthirsty neanderthals in Iran to have second thoughts about carrying out their wishful, genocidal thoughts.

same old crap. say one thing in english and the truth in your own language

Each family should have at least two children so that the parents reproduce themselves. Iran is below this. Apparently way below. And so their future is a country of the aged without enough young to afford to care for the old. Israel has 3 children per every two adults, a country with verve. People who back Iran have as much future in store for them as those who backed the Nazis. It’s not the numbers to watch—it’s the demographics.

The world smells like 1938 again.

AS my mother would say, “Do I hear a man talking or a dog barking?”

  • Let me get this straight, is this the same Syria where between Haffez al-Assad and Bashar al-Assad, perhaps as many as 150,000 Sunni and Shite Muslims have perished and there might be as many as 7 million refugees? Whose economy has been totally destroyed? Whose military is in total tatters? Wow, Iran! With friends like that, who needs enemies? Are you Iranians as imbecilic as you seem? Does it come natural or do you have to practice?
Your country is an embarrassment to humanity.
And please remember, you Iranian morons, there are 14 million Jews on earth and over 600 million Muslims, but Jewish brain power (20% of all Nobel prizes since 1901 – with less then 1% of earths population). This is Israel’s secret weapon. When Israel attacks you Iranian Morons and you find out that none of you computers work , maybe you will remember that Israel only has one thing going for it………ITS BRAINS!!!! Unlike brain dead Iran!!!!!!!!!!

    • Beatrix

Islam has 1 1/2 billion adherents.

      • I stand corrected. And how many Muslims have gotten the Nobel prize since 1901???????????

  • M.A. Kinamohn

Iran is an open pig sty! Zionism and Zionist’s are here for the long haul!

  • Geoff

Same old hatred from the Iranians. They are inadequate people, or at least, their leaders are, needing a scapegoat for their own failings.

Speaker Ali Larijani is right about one thing. The confrontation between Israel and the Palestinians is not a bilateral conflict. It a confrontation between the world of Islam and Israel’s Jews, as well as Jews more broadly. Increasingly we see non-Muslim states (including the United States) either silent in the face of these outrageous dehumanizing and genocidal outbursts from Iran’s leaders – which infers a kind of complicity – or they are sympathetic.
