An Israeli reporter claimed on Twitter to have overheard U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry question President Obama’s assertion that the former senator’s many meetings with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu have been “productive.”

Kerry’s challenge was made in a comment to Vice President Joe Biden who he stood alongside during a press conference following the public part of an Obama-Netanyahu meeting at the White House on Monday.

“Obama in WH: ‘Kerry had productive meetings with BB.’ Kerry, standing in the back, told Biden: ‘Productive!?’ ” Chico Menashe, a diplomatic correspondent for IBA (Israeli public radio), wrote, captioning a photo of Kerry and Biden standing together at the talks.

Kerry traveled to Ukraine on Tuesday with an offer of $1 billion in American loan guarantees and pledges of technical assistance in support of the country’s fledgling government, according to The New York Times.
