JNS.orgSpaceIL, the Israeli lunar mission, will have a float in the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York’s annual Celebrate Israel Parade on June 1.

SpaceIL says it is working toward landing the “smallest, smartest lunar spacecraft ever” on the moon as the Israeli entrant in the international Google Lunar XPrize competition, which is slated for the end of 2015.

This year’s parade will mark the 50th anniversary of the event formerly known as the Israel Day Parade.
