JNS.org – Palestinian terrorists on Saturday evening fired two Grad rockets at Beersheba and another rocket at Ashkelon in southern Israel. The Iron Dome missile defense system intercepted the three rockets fired at Beersheba and five other rockets that targeted other Israeli communities over the weekend.

The fire marked the first time Beersheba has been the target of rockets since the Israel-Gaza conflict of November 2012 (Operation Pillar of Defense).

“Beersheba had known a long period of calm,” city resident Avihai Maor told Israel Hayom.
