JNS.org – Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman took his visiting Norwegian counterpart Borge Brende for a tour in Ashkelon on Wednesday to show him how Israelis are living under fire, and the pair had to run for cover three times as the wail of sirens announced incoming Hamas rocket fire.
“This is the reality people are facing in Israel and Gaza every day,” Brende said during the visit, Israel Hayom reported.
Lieberman’s goal was to show the world how Israelis are living during the ongoing rocket fire.
“There is no better opportunity to explain what’s going on in the country to a visitor,” he said. “We are committed to doing absolutely everything to prevent this kind of situation.”
