Jewish Man Blamed for Clash After Palestinian Demonstrator Snatches Prayer Book (VIDEO)
“Psychopaths,” “genocide,” “hatred.” These words, along with the hashtag #JSIL (a derogatory reference to Israel, classifying it as the “Jewish State in the Levant,” a mirror image of the genocidal Islamic State terrorist organization,) erupted on Twitter yesterday after one user, an anti-Israel activist based in London, shared the image of a young male orthodox Jew screaming at a Palestinian woman.
But as is frequently the case with still images, what was shown was not the full story, as Jewish blogger Elder of Ziyon quickly revealed:
But if you look closer at the photo, you see something interesting.
The book that the Arab woman is holding is a Hebrew Psalms!
It seems that she grabbed the Psalms from the Jewish man – just in time for the photographer to show his reaction to having had a holy book stolen from him in broad daylight. There are other photos from the scene that show another Arab woman physically assaulting the same Jew, although I don’t know whether it was taken before or after the photo above:

Another photo of the Muslim woman who grabbed the Jew, grabbing another Jew:
Who’s intimidating whom again?
Later on, Elder added video which shows the man exiting the Temple Mount and looking straight ahead, in order to avoid eye contact with the Palestinian demonstrators screaming “Allahu Akhbar” at passing Jews. The woman lunges for the man’s book and when he tries to grab it back, her fellow demonstrators begin wailing as though she is the target of an unprovoked assault.
This staged confrontation – designed to convince the gullible that Jews are preventing Palestinian Muslims from accessing the Temple Mount, which houses both the Mosque of Omar and the Al-Aqsa Mosque – took place as an Arab member of the Knesset, Israel’s parliament, urged that the site be closed to Jews. “It should be closed all the time to Jews because they have no business there,” Taleb Abu Arar of the Ra’am/Ta’al party wrote to Jewish activist Tom Nisani. Abu Arar then told the Times of Israel: “The Al-Aqsa Mosque, which sits on 144 dunams, is holy for Muslims, not Jews. Jews should find their holy places elsewhere until the coming of the messiah, as their rabbis say. I don’t recognize the name Temple Mount. The Jews have nothing to look for there.”
Following days of clashes at the Temple Mount complex, Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat complained to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that police resources were inadequate to cope with the trouble. “There has been a significant rise in public disturbances in Jerusalem and a steady rise in the injury to the sense of security among the residents of Israel’s capital,” Barkat told Netanyahu.
