Highlighting “the rising, worrying threats” of terrorism and fundamentalism, Hollande urged the French to not succumb to fear,The Associated Press reported.

France, which has both the largest Muslim and Jewish populations in western Europe, saw a dramatic rise in anti-Semitism in 2014, especially in reaction Israel’s Operation Protective Edge against the Hamas terrorist group last summer. France’s Jewish community suffered several violent attacks, including a recent home invasion and rape in which the attackers referenced the victims’ Jewish faith.

According to Israeli government statistics, French Jewish immigration to Israel doubled in 2014 to 7,000 arrivals, up from 3,400 in 2013.

  • In November 2014 a UN resolution was put forward to ban Nazism around the world. Unbelievably the USA and Canada supported by the Ukraine voted for the continuation of this dire ideology against humanity and the propagation of Nazism. Don’t believe me, visit the following two web-links

Therefore how can the world stamp out this vile thinking if the president of the united states and the prime minister of Canada are still supporting such inhuman thinking?

The UK although outwardly portraying an image against anti-Semitism, abstained from the UN vote together with most of the other western nations. The reason was through leaked media sources because they did not want to upset Obama. Therefore there appears to be something really sinister going on when Nazism in all its guises is not condemned?

The other frightening thing about this terrible situation is that NO media in the ‘West’ has mentioned this very important issue for future humanity. Has Obama et al therefore silenced Western media it has to be asked as if Russia had sided on the side of Nazism, it would have been on the front pages of all mainstream western media outlets? Is it because it was Russia that put forward the UN Declaration to condemn Nazism do you think?

The French can be very tough fighters, but not often at a national level. Certain groups within groups, their police and military. As for a national effort to fight anti-semitism. What’s in it for them?

They have a big enough self inflicted problem to deal with in the foolish belief that the Arab immigrants they allowed to enter their country would believe, in Liberte, Egality and Fraternaty. (Pardon the spelling).

I wish them all the best, but like most posters here, I won’t hold my breath……

  • “fighting antisemitism…” says Hollande is a top priority. Two problems, A) the French aren’t much good at fighting, and B) They’re just playing both sides. Yea! Fight antisemitism, but abandon their own plan and vote for the Palistinian plan in the UN.
I actually have less of a problem with their action at the UN than in how they will protect their own Jewish citizens. Let them demonstrate that. Let them control their Arabs.

    Fascinating goal.
    But not believable.
They just voted against Israel in the UN!
