More than $27 million of foreign donations flowed into the bank accounts of radical NGOs in Israel during 2012-14, the leading Israeli watchdog monitoring NGO activity disclosed in a new report published today.

Of special concern, said NGO Monitor in its report on the financial activities of NGOs as submitted to the Israeli government’s registrar for non-profits, are those organizations “involved in polarizing activity and advocacy in the context of the Arab-Israeli conflict.”

These groups, the report said, represent the local arm of the international campaign against Israel, and “are directly or indirectly active in BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanctions) campaigns, lawfare, delegitimization, demonization, and lobbying against the state of Israel, including involvement in the Goldstone report, the UN fact-finding commission on the Gaza War (2014- ‘Schabas’ commission), and campaigns concerning the International Criminal Court (ICC).”

Among these organizations are left-wing activist groups like B’Tselem, which campaigns against Israeli policy in the West Bank and which accused the IDF of committing war crimes furing the summer 2014 war in Gaza, and Breaking the Silence, a small group of former IDF officers who present themselves as lifting the veil on the true nature of Israel’s military actions.

Some of these groups are openly anti-Zionist and advocate the elimination of Israel as a sovereign Jewish state. Of special note here is Zochrot, an Israeli- NGO that advocates for the return of Palestinian refugees and the dismantling of Israel, which received over $250,000 between 2012-14 from taxpayer-funded humanitarian foundations and organizations from Germany, Belgium, Ireland and Finland.

Under the terms of the 2011 “NGO Transparency Law” passed by the Knesset, Israel’s parliament, Israeli NGOs are required to promptly submit records of donations received.

“No other democracy in the world is permeated by such massive political funding from other countries under the facade of ‘civil society organizations,'” Professor Gerald Steinberg, the President of  NGO Monitor, told The Algemeiner. “Previously top secret, the reports provided under this law give the Israeli public the vital information necessary to assess the scale of this externally directed influence, particularly from Europe. And European taxpayers and their representatives can now see what, if anything, these programs designed to manipulate Israeli democracy have accomplished.”

Implementing the reporting system required by the law, however, has not been without significant problems, some stemming from government inefficiency, others from lack of NGO compliance with the law’s provisions.

“Many political advocacy NGOs that regularly receive funding from foreign governments did not submit quarterly reports at all,” NGO Monitor’s report said. “It is unknown whether they did not receive foreign government funding during the reporting period, whether they have failed to act in accordance with the law, or whether they did not report due technical issues in the reporting system.”

There is a lot of comment about “NGO”s. How about naming names

  • Leo Toystory

Seize all their funds and give them to the IDF.

  • Ilya Lavrenti

Impound their funds and expel the organizations.

In This Increasing Anti Semite World And The Economic Isolation Of Israel

The Securing Of Israel’s Beef Industry Has Become A Vital Strategic Need

One of our purposes of the Israel Longhorn Project is to decrease the amount of European cattle on Israeli Ranches and replace them with fewer but more effective desert crossbred or purebred Texas Longhorn cattle. This will allow us to use less land, feed and water necessary for raising cattle. Lowering meat costs for the consumer and improving meat quality while raises profits by decreasing losses and expenses. Plus, making organic meat easier to produce.

Texas Longhorns will decrease losses due to predators such as jackals and wolves simply by threatening them with their sharp horns. Texas Longhorn babysits each other’s calves.

Texas Longhorns are desert cattle; they eat many of the shrubs that create a fire problem for our forests.

I can get the embryos to Israel within a week to ten days with your help.

We need a nominal donation of $250 from 1200 generous supporters to reach our goal of $290,000. So please help and spread the word. I cannot do this alone.

I would like to help secure Israel’s food production in this conflict of Civilizations between good and evil.

what is one who works and is funded by a hostile foreign entity to destabilize or harm a country? It one is a citizen the answer is TRAITOR if not a citizen an enemy either must be stopped

  • Why not make NGO’s that take foreign government funds not only declare them on a government form but on every piece of literature, audio publication, video or other piece of propaganda. It is the right of viewers, readers and listeners to know from where these groups are coming from.
Also, if they are taking foreign government money, then make them register as foreign agents and again publicize it as mentioned.

  • As an American citizen, I’m concerned about where U.S. BDS groups are getting their funding and what that suggests about their politics.

In other words, if I were rational actor as yet undecided about the merits of BDS, and the Emir of Kuwait offered me a lifetime subsidy for bashing Israel, what would I do?

why is it that this site shows 4 comments but we are able to see only two. Something is not kosher with this and i will not either read it or comment in the future.

During the previous BB Nuttenyahoo regime, several MKs submitted a bill to form a committee to investigate those foreign NGO’s. But BB & his cabinet voted against it. Clearly, the committee would have exposed the money trails and all those in the government & courts on the take. So nothing was done other than the usual political posturing in their leftist media.

Israel is a true democracy as they allow this to happen.
ask BDS how much pro-israel money is distributed in GAZA!

  • What else should we expect from communists and social democrats, now in coalition and supporting NGOs everywhere? Few understand the novelty of their teaming up to make up this supposedly modern New Left. Look at their predecessors here, where the anti-Semitism was barely disguised. The individuals involved in these hate organizations should be tried as foreign enemy agents, heavily fined, imprisoned, and at the end of a very lengthy prison term, expelled from the country with their citizenship expunged.

What bothers me is that anyone with half a brain knew all about this criminality for years and years and years. Yet, our CIA-installed Israeli gov mafia, in its deliberate incompetence, still can’t manage to get on top of this situation. To my mind, our CIA-installed Israeli gov mafia is just as culpable in these acts of subversion and sedition as the individuals and organizations they tacitly sponsor through their inaction.

“Our government” is NOT our government!

Your solution would indeed be effective, and in fact many countries in the United Nations do actively practice, to some degree these methods, and without even a murmur of dissent from the United Nations assembly,

However as a true democratic country, Israel can not follow down this path, to do so would require a shift towards a totalitarian state etc,and this would be counter productive, in fact it would be “Israel’s demise”.

This would be just the ammunition the anti-Israel contingent within the United Nations requires, combined with the European union etc Israel would be isolated and slowly strangled by these people.

So not only is Israel expected by these people, to maintain a higher standard, it is imperative your country continues to do so. this is a requirement not only collectively but individually as well.

It is understandable that some may succumb to the urge for retribution, such as vigilante responses or price tag attacks etc, but each of these actions is a gift to those who’s intent is to destroy Israel and to take what has been built, for themselves. As their hate is non productive, they have produced nothing for their descendants but a culture of welfare dependency and terrorism.

So be strong, resist being dragged down to the level of those who oppose you, allow your leadership, the Government of Israel to continue with their successful navigation through the multitudes of various and ever changing minefields placed before Israel’s path.

This way Israel will continue to grow in strength and prosperity, and all of us around the world will continue to benefit, not only from Israel’s many inventions and innovations, but also from the example of the higher standard placed on, and expected from Israel, which then we can all seek to emulate.

And thus continuing to fulfill your past and present governments vision of Israel being a “Light Unto the Nations”
