Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s supreme leader, tweeted his outrage Saturday over talks with the U.S. over his nation’s nuclear weapons research. “We reject fraudulent offer of reaching w #Iran first than lifting sanctions,” Khamenei tweeted. “Lifting sanctions is a part of deal, not its outcome.”

“#US sanctions are ineffective,” he continued. “Threatening to sanction or military action won’t scare #Iran-ians. God backs Iranian nation’s resistance.”

  • No matter what Kerry says the Iranian president has agreed to, the final say is with the supreme ayatollah, who clearly sounds quite uninterested in reaching an agreement. Even while they are negotiating, Iran is sponsoring a Holocaust Cartoon Competition and talking about destroying Israel. The Arab states know Iran better than Obama and the Arabs do not trust Iran at all. Iran’s human rights abuse is growing under the so-called ‘moderate’ president, and Iran continues to bankroll Islamist terror. There should be a comprehensive agreement for atomic power, human rights and support for terror.
