Israeli officials in Jerusalem said on Wednesday that the Obama Administration is acting in a manner that is more hostile to Israel than European governments, Israel’s Walla News reported.

As the tensions between President Obama and Prime Minister Netanyahu were ratcheted up by the Administration this week, the officials in Jerusalem noted the relatively positive response from Europe to Prime Minister Netanyahu’s re-election last Tuesday.

Since the results of the election came in showing that Netanyahu’s Likud had won 30 seats in the Knesset, European governments, as well as representatives of the European Union, have been content to send laconic congratulatory messages to Netanyahu, according to Walla‘s report. Some of the communiques also emphasized the importance of the negotiation process with the Palestinian Authority in order to achieve a two-state solution.

The most prominent positive message came from Frederica Mogherini, the EU’s foreign minister, who phoned the Prime Minister and later issued a congratulatory statement. Mogherini urged Netanyahu to act to promote the two-state solution, stressing the importance of the matter to Europe, without “scolding” Netanyahu over his recent controversial statements on the matter.”The feeling is that the European Union is telling Netanyahu, ‘we’re giving you a chance’,” the officials told Walla.

By contrast, the officials noted, a diplomatic war has broken out between Jerusalem and Washington. “By contrast [to Europe], with the White House, not even half a minute of grace was given,” said an official close to the Prime Minister.

The fact that the European response to Netanyahu’s election victory is more favorable than the US response is an indication of the depth of the crisis with Washington, Walla said, considering that Europe’s position on Israel’s settlements has not relaxed at all.

    What a Dumb Ass we have as our leader.

    • Butch Mooney

      AMEN

  • Joe BLow

    Basically this article says European officials sent congratulations (even if not heartfelt)to Netanyahu, but the Obama Administration did not. And.. .that “a diplomatic war has broken out between Jerusalem and Washington…” with out so much as a description of an action to show as an example of this.

    What is this he said she said shit and war by omission of congratulations crap.

    Look at all the crazy crap that follows in the comments.

  • AmericaBabylonTheGreat

    There is no other goal that Mr. Obama cares more about then the decimation of Israel as a country. And all his appointed people of position, including Kerry, Powers, and Susan Rice, will pursue that agenda to the end, one step at a time.

  • Hizkiya Gerez (March 26 7:55 am) above is surely right.

    Events look as if they are being played out by the will of man
    – President Obama in the White House and Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem. And indeed they ARE – on a day to day basis.

    But when you look at the overall picture with 20-20 hindsight vision, the picture is completely different. When you look at all the difficulties Israel, the Jewish state, has overcome against overwhelming odds, you realize, as Gerez says above, that the Hand of The Almighty has been at work.

    The Jewish state is in the eye of a storm. It is a haven of relative peace and tranquility. All Hell has broken out almost everywhere around it.

    I suspect that whoever crosses Israel will have his path directed there (Hell) one way or another.

  • Obama is a Muslim and therefore an anti-semitic. I stand with Israel 100% and always will. Only another 22 months and Obama will be gone. I can’t wait to see the back of him. I pray assiduously for Israel and her people. Remember folks, The Almighty chose the Jewish race as His Beloved people and promised to bless those who bless her and curse those who curse her. I wouldn’t be in Obama’s shoes when HaShem gets angry with him.

    • I like you will stand with Israel. They are Gods chosen people.

  • MICHAEL RUSH

    It pains me that the leader of my country regards our strongest ally with such disdain, disrespect, and contempt. I do not fear for Israel and its continued existence as YHWH has made His promises to her and He and His Word are unchanging and ever faithful. However, my deep concern is that the words and deeds of this U.S. administration, as well as previous administrations, may have breached the limits of God’s long-suffering and possibly annulled if not at the very least, jeopardized our (U.S.) blessings under His grace. Bereishit 12: 1-3 ” . . . And I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse, ” I pray daily for the “Peace of Jerusalem.”

    The ball is in the Palestinian Court to offer something toward a two state solution.
    According to a recent poll taken commissioned by ADL, the majority of Palestinians on West Bank believe the hateful characterizations of the Jews as depicted by the Palestinian media to be more likely as true than false.
    How can there be a two state solution if the other West Bank Palestinian officials preach hatred toward Israel, after Israel provides them with water and electricity, built their universities and hospitals. Pays their workers 3 times what they get from their own people. Have tried to support their economy. Are turned down when offering to make the handling of sewage and water healthier and more efficient.Take many of their people into the Israeli Hospitals for advanced treatment and medicine.
    Of course Netanyahu said their won’t be a two state solution while he’s in office. The Palestinians have turned down every offer to become part of a two state solution.
    The ball is in their court. They have given nothing toward such a goal.

  • Jerry Rosenberg

    ALL THIS TALK OF NEGOTIATIONS FOR A TWO-STATE SETTLEMENT IS JUST THAT TALK. WHEN WILL THOSE THAT DEMAND A TWO-STATE SOLUTION SEE THE FOLLY OF THEIR POSITION. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN A WILLINGNESS OF BOTH PARTIES TO CONCLUDE AN
    AGREEMENT ON ANYTHING.FOR THE PAST TWO DECADES ONLY ISRAEL HAS SHOWN ANY DESIRE FOR A SETTLEMENT. SINE THE ARABS WANT ONLY ONE THING OUT OF THIS, NO ISRAEL ON THE MAP, NOTHING WILL CHANGE IT TAKES TWO TO TANGO. IF, THE ARABS ARE SUFFERING AS A RESULT OF THEIR LEADERS, THEN TELL THEM TO CHANGE THEIR LEADERS AND MAYBE THEY WILL BE ABLE TO LIVE PROPERLY.
    JERRY ROSENBERG

  • Elliott Lehem

    There are 2 states now. The second one is called Jordan. Review your history. The Arabs were given 80% of Israel about a century ago. If they are not good with this, they can jump in the sea. Israel should NOT give another inch of land to anyone.

    • Ronnie Caplan

      You’ve got THAT right! Too bad the rest of the world (especially iran-loving obama) refuses to accept that FACT.

  • Monty Pogoda

    There are two Hamans in our time. One is Houmani, the other – Obama [the Manchurian Candidate]. They are both terribly dangerous, to Israel and to the world at large.

    • Ronnie Caplan

      Don’t you know? obama is the new poster boy for radical islam!!!

  • RobiMac

    The present 6 year occupation of the spite house needs to come to an end. It is rife with treason, treachery, blatant lawbreaking, etc. And, I might add, NO NATION, LEAST OF ALL THE US, HAS ANY RIGHT TO DEFINE ISRAEL’S BORDERS!

    Just as He says, All who burden themselves with Jerusalem WILL be cut to pieces.

  • Hizkiya Gerez

    The world is burning in flames.
    Israel is the only democratic country in the Middle-East.
    The so called democratic countries USA And EU want to destroy Israel, and are interfering in the internal and external affairs of Israel.
    They will not succeed.

  • Hizkiya Gerez

    The HOLLY land destiny will not be decided by any foreign nation, but by the ALMIGHTY.
    The answer to USA and to EU should be:
    Go to hell!!

  • Sam Talmund

    The response was different in Europe because European leaders understand the importance of Israel in the region and the region’s politics. They know Israel is threatened. Obama does not have the maturity, understanding, or self control to behave like a President and leader should. He is acting like a petulant child: “No, I will not be friends with Netanyahu, he started it. He pushed me first.”

  • Jack Holan

    The public political/diplomatic crisis between the US and Israel exists primarily because, BHO want it to exist. The reason are multi-faceted. A few of the reasons are his desire to get into bed with Iran, force an untenable Peace down the throat of Israel and be the next MahdI of the Arab Word In doIng so, and for Internal polItIcal considerations at home. Frankly, It has lIttle to do wIth Bibi and everything to do with Israel and Jews. It appears he is looking for new friends and lower the relationship with Israel by making her look guilty of anything he can dream up.

  • Richard

    Mr. Obama seams to be acting more like a child and less like a president of the United States everyday. He can’t seam to get along with his Congress, foreign governments or his own people who elected him.

  • e.bowman

    At the very beginning of this Obama administration I believe that a new foreign policy would aim to cut Israel adrift and get closer to various governments in the region. His famous Cairo speech pointed the way,Netanyahu was then summonsed to appear before Obama in Washington in order to be officially snubbed ands so to send this message to the world. it’s just a personal opinion.

  • Tell the White House official to return occupied Texas and other states to Mexico and the rest of the United States to the Indians.
    The Jews have a history with Israel going over 4,000 years. The Americans have only a few hundred years of occupation and deliberate destruction of the Indians.
    YJ Draiman.

    Barrack Hussein Obama face it – Israel is Jewish territory and it is not negotiable.
    The Arabs already have 46,000 sq. miles of Jewish land (5 times the size of Israel) that they confiscated from the million Jews they expelled from Arab countries in the past 90 years. T%hey also have the Jewish territory of Jordan.
    I think you do not have your facts straight – Israel belongs to the Jews.
    The Quran states it clearly.
    Israel is a Jewish State its territories are non-negotiable. It has been a Jewish country for over 4,000 years.
    The Arab-Palestinians are the occupiers. All they want is to destroy the Jews. They educated their children and the masses to commit terror and violence against Israel. The dance in the streets when the twin towers in 9-11 collapsed and 3,000 Americans died.
    It is amazing how you and many others choose to ignore that the Arab countries have expelled over a million Jews from their countries in the last 90 years. Jews who lived there for over 2,000 years. The Arabs confiscated their assets, businesses, homes and real estate 5-6 times the size of Israel – 120,000 sq. km. or 46,000 sq. miles which is valued in the trillions of dollars.
    Any Arab who is not happy to live under the Israeli government can move there.
    Study your history; Mouhamed in 627 about 1,500 years ago beheaded 700 Jews in Medina which was a Jewish town in Saudi Arabia, he killed all the men took the women as slaves and raped their daughters. This is just the tip of history.
    Do you want more study the complete unbiased history objectively.
    YJ Draiman
    P.S.
    There was never an Arab-Palestinian State in Greater Israel and there will never be – face it.
    The Ottoman land records of Palestine confirm that the Arabs did not own land, the were sharecroppers. Over 90% of the land was owned by the government the balance was owned by absentee wealthy Arabs from Lebanon who sold it to the Jews at premium prices.
    It is time to implement population transfer for all the Arabs.
    who create violence, riot and attack Jews and anyone else. They could be relocated to the home and land of the million Jewish people, expelled from Arab countries or Jordan.
    YJ Draiman.

    • Ephraim

      Asking Obama to see the truth is like asking Khamenei to be ecumenical. Obama is deeply enmeshed with jihad, and has been from the beginning. Facts have no meaning for him, but a war on behalf of radical Islam, and against Jews, is his preferred outcome. The vast majority of the US public strongly disagrees with his actions but, as a public servant, Obama sees no reason to consult the people he was elected to lead. There is only one paradigm for Obama: Jihad uber alles.

  • The last occupier of Palestine-Israel was the Ottoman Empire. The last official country with an independent government in Palestine was the Jews. All others were just conquerors with no official independent government. After many years the Jewish people retained their land back and established its own government.
    The Arabs who claim title to the lands in Palestine-Israel are thieves who have possessed land that was never theirs. They never purchased any of the land in any legal manor.
    Just like the Arabs expelled a million Jews (who lived there for over 2,000 years) from their countries and confiscated their assets, businesses, homes and Real estate 5-6 times the size of Israel 46,000 sq. miles.

    There never was an Arab-Palestinian State on Jewish land and it will never be an Arab Palestinian State on Jewish land of Israel.
    The Arabs beheaded 700 Jews in Medina (Saudi Arabia today) 1500 years ago and destroyed the Jewish community, took the wives, women and children as slaves.
    The Arabs killed hundreds of Jews in Safed Israel in the 1600’s.

    Arabs expelled over a million Jews from all their countries and confiscated all their assets and 46,000 sq. miles of Real estate.
    The Jewish forced exodus from Arab lands refers to the 20th century expulsion or mass departure of Jews, primarily of Middle Eastern background, from Arab and Islamic countries. The forced migration started in the late 19th century, but accelerated after the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. According to official Arab statistics, over 989,000 Jews were forced out of their homes in Arab countries from 1948 until the early 1970’s. Some 750,000 resettled in Israel, forced to leave behind personal property which the Arabs confiscated their assets, businesses, homes and Real estate valued today in the trillions of dollars. Jewish-owned real-estate confiscated by the Arab countries is about 120,000 square kilometers or 46,000 square miles (5-6 times the size of the State of Israel). Valued today in the trillions of dollars.
    Israel – In order to consider a new negotiations with the Arab-Palestinians
    First thing, let us see the Arab Palestinians stop teaching their children and the masses to commit terror and violence. Stop rewarding terrorists, stop funding terrorists families, stop naming streets after terrorists. Declare and practice that terror and violence is unacceptable. We need to see a change in attitude towards terror and a true and honest pursuit of peace and coexistence.
    You can accomplish more with honey than with vinegar.
    If that is not possible than there will never be peace.
    A true peace will be a blessing and an economic prosperity to all concerned.

    ” importance of the negotiation process with the Palestinian Authority in order to achieve a two-state solution.” Of course it is important, but so far it is not present.Does anyone see negotiations going on anywhere???

  • How do we explain Barack Obama’s visceral dislike for the Jewish State? Perhaps some part of the answer lies in the President’s ancestry and childhood, both of which point to Muslim roots, about which he himself has spoken.

    Theologically, Islam regards all children to be born Muslim and to remain such until adults teach them otherwise. On the balance of probabilities, child Obama was Muslim also because:

    (1) his paternal grandfather in Kenya was Muslim;
    (2) his Kenyan birth-father (though ideologically Marxist) always used his two Muslim names; and the President’s autobiography “Dreams From My Father” tells us that, when his birth-father died, his family wanted him buried with Muslim rites;
    (3) he was given his birth-father’s two Muslim names, “Barack” and “Hussein”;
    (4) his Indonesian step-father was also Muslim;
    (5) his Indonesian classmates and playmates recall that he attended Muslim religious services both at school and in mosques, when they believed him to be Muslim;
    (6) he was explicitly registered as Muslim at two elementary schools in Indonesia;
    (7) he then studied the “Koran,” as indicated in “Dreams From My Father”;
    (8) an Indonesian teacher recalls that child Obama was then also learning Arabic recitation of the “Koran,” a part of which adult Obama could still recite by memory, as demonstrated during his 2007 interview with “New York Times” columnist Nicholas Kristof;
    (9) reflecting on her childhood with her older brother, Obama’s half-sister Maya Soetoro in 2007 told the “New York Times”: “My whole family was Muslim”; and
    (10) speaking to ABC news commentator George Stephanopolous in September 2008, candidate Obama inadvertently referred to “my Muslim faith” — a slip of the tongue that could never have passed the lips of a lifelong Hindu, Buddhist, Christian or Jew.

    And, Barack Obama’s close connections with Islam and Muslims certainly do not end with his childhood, because there is also a variety of interesting evidence that Barack Obama likely kept something of a Muslim self-identification deep into his twenties, after which he started to ostentatiously practice Christianity, probably for political advantage.

    Yet, Barack Obama had the temerity to outright lie to Americans about his religious history. For example, in Pleasantville, Iowa, on December 22, 2007, then presidential candidate Obama explained:

    “My father was from Kenya, and a lot of people in his village were Muslim. He didn’t practice Islam. Truth is he wasn’t very religious. He met my mother. My mother was a Christian from Kansas. I’ve always been a Christian…. The only connection I’ve had to Islam is that my grandfather on my father’s side came from that country. But I’ve never practiced Islam.”

    We’re simply comparing degrees of anti-Semitism here…Europe’s vs. Obama’s. Both will (and do) knife Israel in the back; the difference is that Europe is suave about it. Obama’s a complete putz.

    Obama is in his last days of rule. Once Hillary declares for the nomination the public will be looking to her for views on Israel and other issues rather than to him. Based on her previous statements it is almost a certainty that she will be a good deal warmer toward Israel than Obama. Obama’s power is already fading and will continue to dissipate at an accelerating pace as the 2016 campaign heats up.

    There is no crisis in relations between the US as a State and Israel as a State or between the vast majority of the respective people.
    The crisis was fabricated by a perverse, sabotaging, anti-Semitic, anti-American US administration which is blatantly supporting Islamic monsters over the civilized world. In that caterva is included a significant number or renegade former Jews, clearly turned unto capos again.
    The results of the elections in Israel were consequent to a massive shift of voters from two sources to one. The Orthodox Religious, (two mandates), and the National religious.(four mandates). To the likud. That can and will be reversed if and when conditions so require it.
    Why the shift?
    Not from love to or trust on Mr. Netanyahu.
    The people decided that the rampaging US administration needed a pertinent message delivered akin to the message passed along by Egypt, the Saudis, etc. The massive, perverse, violent invasion of Mr. Hussein Obama’s operative gangs and gruesome use of millions of dollars to buy the usual aggregate of local former Jews to serve the personal inclinations of the head of the US administration triggered the well organized shift.
    I am afraid that the jilted invaders do not fully understand that Chicago Mr Daley tactics do not pass water here. at least for now.
    Better times will be again once… The so called US consulate in our capital city returns to act as one and not as a training facility for Islamic beasts. That will happen, for sure. When? Your guess is as good as ours.
