Former CIA Director James Woolsey will be a keynote speaker at an upcoming rally in New York to protest the nuclear deal currently being negotiated between Iran and world powers, The Algemeiner has learned.

Woolsey’s appearance is scheduled for July 22 at the ‘Stop Iran’ rally, an event supported by dozens of Jewish groups including the Simon Wiesenthal Center and the Zionist Organization of America. Fellow speakers include former Congressman Alan West and former House Intelligence Committee Chairman Pete Hoekstra as well as Investigative Project on Terrorism Founder Steve Emerson.

The rally’s organizers are calling for world powers to return to the original requirements of the Iranian nuclear deal: unrestricted and unannounced inspections of all known, and soon-to-be uncovered, military or nuclear research facilities in the Islamic Republic; the surrender of Iranian nuclear enrichment material; and the elimination of advanced centrifuges.

Rally organizers told The Algemeiner that failure to include these demands in the nuclear deal may result in “such Iranian-borne catastrophes as dirty bombs.”

Organizers said they also hope for the U.S. to provide, as outlined by Congress members Lee Zeldin (R-NY) and Grace Meng (D-NY), “full-size bunker-destroying ordinances to Israel, as a further deterrent measure against Iranian nuclear aggression.”

“Failure in this overall process will result in an undesired military confrontation – and that the credible threat of same must be perceived by Iran for any chance of diplomatic success,” organizers said.

The ‘Stop Iran’ rally aims to educate the public that “a failure to stop Iran now will necessitate a military response later.”
